2019 Annual Review
Each year, and for the first time in 2019, True North Aid and its board of directors meet to go over financials, growth and what projects have been completed or are ongoing. With our annual reviews, we also invite members of the public to join us either in person or through video conference. This helps us assure the public and our funders that True North Aid is completely transparent.
Thank you to the project leaders who shared reports, your love and passion for your respective projects was encouraging & inspiring.
Thank you to Norman, our Elder Advisor from SK for making the trip from Ottawa to bring closing remarks. You validated our work on behalf of your people, the Indigenous communities we serve and support.
Thank you Scott Harris, our chairman, for providing leadership and to Carolina Budiman and Meg Warren for your analysis of the financial statements and numbers.
Thank you Steve Koopman for allowing us to host this meeting at Kingston Police Headquarters and making all necessary arrangements.
Thank you Amanda Stolk for helping to facilitate the meeting.
We received this message from a major funder in Toronto who joined the meeting online;
Ken - I really appreciate having the opportunity to participate; your great use of technology made me feel like I was in the room with you and the presenters. What a powerful way to link all of us from near and far in a single event! I’m also really impressed with the collaboration evident between your member/project managers and the organization - it helped me to understand how the pieces you described fitting together (back in our November/December conversation) do so in real life. All the best, Michael
